Meeting of the Board of Directors - March 30, 2013
On March 30, 2013, the Board of Directors met and decided to continue the Neighborhood Association on an informal basis only. This means that the Neighborhood Association will no longer have a formal list of members and will not have designated directors or officers. The Neighborhood Association will continue to maintain a list of the email addresses of persons who are interested in receiving email announcements, will continue to maintain a web site (WLNA.org) and will continue to have persons whom neighbors can contact with their concerns (see the contact page).
10th Anniversary of the West Lawrence Neighborhood Association
The West Lawrence Neighborhood Association was officially formed on February 21, 2003. During the past ten years, the Neighborhood Association has been a very active, opposing the development of an oversized Walmart store, developing parks and walkways, making the neighborhood safer through traffic control, and improving the development of the neighborhood through better planning and zoning. We thank the many volunteers who gave their time and those who continue to work hard to make the west side of Lawrence a better place in which to live.
