ANNOUNCEMENTS:

10th Anniversary of the West Lawrence Neighborhood Association

The West Lawrence Neighborhood Association was formed on February 21, 2003 - ten years ago this month.   It's been a very active ten years that included opposing the development of an oversized Walmart store, much effort developing parks and walkways, repeated efforts to make the neighborhood safer through traffic control, and numerous efforts (mostly successful) to improve the development of the neighborhood through better planning and zoning.   We thank the many volunteers who gave their time and those who continue to work hard to make the west side of Lawrence a better place in which to live.
